  1. No

    Thing

    .........

    self explanatory..

  2. THE LACK OF SOMETHING

  3. Its like when there is nothing in the fridge so you cant take something out of it to eat. Its more of a concept than a "thing"

  4. If there is nothing, it must exist. Perhaps, its existence occupies no space or time, which is why we who are bound within space and time can not perceive or experience this 'nothing'..... its existence is beyond our range of being.

  5. A thought, object, person or situation the conscious has eliminated from its perceptions.

It the becomes a nonentity, non existent in the said individuals sphere of thinking, nothing.

  6. If nothing doesn't exist and you believe in nothing then you don't exist.

  7. The non-existence of a thing does not necessarily render it meaningless.

  8. Nothingness exists as a concept in the human mind (at least in homosapiens :)

  9. One can have Nothing and still have many.  Just like one can be Empty yet very Full.  If nothingness doesn't exist then Having doesn't exist too.  Nothing have to exist in order Having to exist.

This is a concept of self awareness, a conscious realization of the mind.   Much like an image have to exist in order it to have a mirror image.  Though having nothing is not empty, and being empty doesn't mean you have nothing.  You could be empty yet contented, but you can't be contented if you have nothing.  That is why the mind realizes that having nothing makes you discontented and drives you to Having things to make you feel contented.

For a conscious open and awakened mind, you can realize that you can be empty and still be full, because you have come to terms in awareness that nothing is permanent.  Empty can be full and full have to be empty to accept the state of an awaken and enlightened mind or Buddha.

    I hope you can understand.

  10. I had an argument with my physics teacher about this once.  He said that before the big bang there was nothing.  But there had to be SOME thing otherwise where would the big bang originate from?  The idea of nothing is insane.  It is definitely more of a human perception as someone above said, a very hard one to conceive.  It literally means no thing, but how can there be no thing/ nothing when there's all of... 'this'?
