  1. If you are speaking about drawing or painting, it could mean the quality of the lines or color or the way the paint is applied. The line quality could be jerky, or wavy. Colors would flow. Paint could be applied in long or short strokes that interrupt or add to the rhythm. It is really a subject thing.

    If you are speaking about sculpture, the same principles apply. Color, line, shape, positive and negative space all add to a rhythm. If the sculpture is just a block, you might say that it has no rhythm or it is very static. I think it is about flow. Like in music
