I am sure that this sentence is correct because I got the sentence from an Oxford dictionary. In that the sentence is an example usage for the verb 'speed'.

  1. Hi...

Is this posted on a sign near a school?  If so, it may be a warning to pedestrians and other motorists that there is fast traffic in the school vicinity, and they need to be on the alert.

Is there any other sign or image associated with the sign, like a radar gun?  In that case, it could mean that cars caught speeding in the school zone will be ticketed.

Do either of these seem like likely possibilities?

  2. Well, it is one usage of the word "speed." But the context suggests that it is not "speed" that is important here, but the irresponsibility of drivers who drive too fast where innocent and unaware children might be crossing.

  3. Its not a sentence.

  4. People are running away from the school and into their cars ditching school? Sorry I have no clue.
