  1. Basically, what it means is that when we look in the mirror, there are two faces that we see.  One is "reality", or the actual reflection looking back at us and the other is the deeper reflection that we would like to see, or rather our subconscious vision of ourselves.  Each of us has an "internal mirror", or that image of ourselves that we see in our minds.  Girls suffering with eating disorders often have a skewed reality of what they see when they look in the mirror.  They don't see the reality of their gaunt facial features and emaciated body...they see someone who is fat and unattractive.  Everyone has a self-image that reflects something different than what they actually see in the mirror.

Look at the pictures that people post on Myspace.  It's interesting to see how people will post photos of themselves in facial poses that they feel make them look the most attractive, when in reality, tilting your head down and looking up into the camera doesn't change your facial features, it simply changes the perspective of what you see (or don't see).  It's the reflection of "another face" that they see when they look at a reflection or a picture of themselves.

  2. Hummmmm...Would it be that the reflection seen in the mirror is merely the physical image that draws visual attention; then, beyond the outer physical image is the inner substance that reveals the face of the spirit encapsulated within?

  3. you see your true self when you truly examine yourself

  4. I found that "script" in this youtube video

    2:03 min. into it.

*Behind every mirror there is a reflection of another face

it is the same with water

that ancient place where twins compete for the same thirst

they say that it is a place where gray and gold meet (elephants and lions)

and that it knows the shape of hunger

but it really only knows it own color

    RED. . .

oh, I'm sorry... is this your homework?

The "reflection" behind a mirror is not a literal reflection. This can only mean or represent an opposite force present that is dichotomy to the true reflection. Behind a mirror is dark, so the "reflection" of another face would peer into darkness. This other "face" could be evil, dark, opposite or just a contrary or struggling state. Perhaps our enemy within, our self expressing flesh that is dreamlike and emotionally ruled.

It serves well in this lion and elephant documentary that captures life and death struggles. As the script goes on it lends mystery to the reflection of another face saying it knows the shape of hunger (elephants). It goes on to say it really knows its own color... RED. Blood is the thirst and killing for survival is the real substance here.
