"What's on your mind, if you will allow the overstatement?"

I have been thinking about it all day...but I'm not sure of the true meaning...any ideas??

    What is on you mind...like what do you think

    If you allow the overstatement...like as if to say that asking the person for a valid opinion is an overstatement.

    maybe it is just an insult...without seeing any other context, I would think it was an insult.


  2. hmmm, in what context did you come across this? Did someone say that to you?

    It almost appears as an insult, because an "overstatement" is an exaggerated statement. As if to say (you or the person it was said to) have no mind (thats the overstatement).....

    ??? Bizarre....

    PS: I'm just playing devil's advocate, no personal attack meant...best of luck with the answers :)
