What is the meaning of us getting bad storms from the heavens?

It merely means there is a storm.    But the storm may be caused by the ephemeral atmospheric conditions - enhanced or not by global warming and climate change (of which I reckon there's a lot about)

It means that the "gods" are angry an are showing their power through storms etc.
