find 1/x^(1/2) i got my answer in positive while solution is in -ve

w.r.t. x_ with reference to x . you are going to differentiate the expression with respect to x

formula- d/dx (x to the power n ) = nx power n-1

consider the expression to be 1/x to the power -1/2.

applying the formula you would get -1/2x  power -1/2-1. (here n= -1/2)

you will get the answer  -1/2x power 3/2
