What is the meaning of you are now part of furniture?

I am confused it should be taken as a compliment or derogatory remark.??

    people aren't taking much notice of you .

    just like people generally don't take much notice of the furnature .

  2. I think it means you are some kind of a display.

  3. That you have worked at the same place for ages..and  you are simply part and parcel of what goes on in that industry.

  4. It generally means that you're always around and that you belong there or fit in well.

    I think its more of a compliment than anything else.
