Well, it seems it is a proverb that can impliment on human being. about my side i can just guess that.

if someone trying to get something from a small place that may some big places about the side. on the other hand it can be said that if yours families with you then you never need to go to yours friends. so thats why it can be said in proverb sence that Door is open closs windows.
