  1. Millie is right

I live at 15 minutes by foot from La Défense and you have RER A Grande Arche de la Défense and Metro 1 La défense...

You also have tramway, a lot of buses and some train of SNCF

It's very easy to go in transport...

But La défense is not in Paris, it's in the subburb, in the department of Hauts de Seine (92) Which is the wealthiest department of France !

(Very close to Paris, you don't really see the difference when you are in or out !)

  2. There are 2 stops on métro line 1: La Défense and Esplanade de la Défense. The La Défense stop is also on RER line A.

It is not in Paris, it is located outside Paris, in the Hauts-de Seine département, west/north-west of Paris. When you arrive in Paris from La Défense, you arrive at the border between the 16th and 17th arrondissements.
