That's my prescription and I want to know, how thin do you think i can get them.

Right now they are 5mm or 3/16 inches.

  1. With a high index lens, the center thickness will be 1.0 mm , and increase as you get out to the edges of the lens.

It is the frame choice that will determine the final edge thickness you will have.

The narrower the frame is, the thinner the edges will stay. The difference between the geometric centers of the frame and your pupillary distance play a major role in determining the final thickness.

So, without knowing your PD and the frame size....the outcome is a mystery.
