  1. preschool can be started in India by sending the child in a nursery class which starts at 2 1/2 years. While kinder garden in India is for two years KG1 and KG2.. usually it starts at 3- 31/2 years but recently what I heard is the govt. has made the age to be at least 4 years old as prerequisite.
