Where are you?  IGA is all over the place.

In Australia you are suppose to be 15 years of age to get a job - however, there are rare exceptions that can be made.  Although you should be aware that if you are in Australia those 'exceptions' have recently been tightened.  Ring Wageline (as listed in the White Pages or online) and ask an industralia relations consultant for the lastest information

it really depends on where you live and what your laws are like but generally the age is 16. i worked at an iga from the age of 16 - 18

The age I believe is 16, but check with your state some allow work when your 15 with your parents permission.
