The affidavit of support asks for a balance of the checking and savings account of the person supporting me while I study abroad. Is there a minimum amount I need to meet in order to be eligible for the visa?

  1. I've been looking for the same info and there it is.

For students financially dependent on their parents all of the following items are required:

    a) Affidavit of Support from the parent/s addressed to this         Consulate, stating that the parent/s will assume full financial responsibility for any and all expenses incurred by the student during his/her stay in Italy. The signature/s must be notarized.

    b) original letter from the parents’ bank on the bank letterhead with a bank official's signature, indicating the exact balance. A minimum of $900.00 per each month of stay in Italy is required.  This letter must have a recent date.

Well I have the whole list of requirements, let me know if you need it.
