Hi,

I'm planning to finish my basement and need to understand the minimum distance needed for clearance around my HVAC furnace in the basement, when building a closet to contain it and the water heater.

It will have louvered doors to ensure proper flow of combustible air.

  1. nobody can answer this without knowing brand/model. Is it an oil furnace, high efficiency gas, or medium efficiency?
