  1. The federal minimum wage is only $5.85/hour, but different states have different laws requiring higher rates. None will be below the federal wage though.

    Workers aged 22 and over - £5.52 per hour

    Workers aged 18-21 -         £4.60 per hour

    Workers aged 16-17 -         £3.40 per hour

    New National Minimum Wage rates from 1 October 2008

    Workers aged 22 and over - £5.73 per hour

    Workers aged 18-21 -         £4.77 per hour

    Workers aged 16-17 -         £3.53 per hour

    Accommodation offset -      ÃƒÂ‚£4.46 per day (£31.22 per week)

    The £5.52 works out at about $11.06 in USD, I'm surprised how well that compares...

    there is a National minimum wages however it is not enforced..

    therefore check with your parents they'll know..

    however, in the State of Nevada the minimum wage has risen and is now $7.00 I believe
