  1. It will vary and also depend on the plane. My older brother is 6'61/2". 767-300 Captain.

  2. I have my current FAR/AIM right in front of me, and I can find no restriction on height, either minimum or maximum specifically stated under the subpart for a first class medical certificate, which is the one required for airline pilots.  The only thing stated is:

    67.113  General medical condition

(b)No other organic, funtional, or structural desease, defect or limitation that the Federal Air Surgeon, based on the case history and appropriate, qualified medical judgment relating to the condition involved finds--

(1)Makes the person unable to safely perform the duties or exercise the privileges of the airman certificate applied for or held.

So, no it looks as though as long as you can demonstrate that you can safely reach and manipulate the controls, there is no specific height limitation.  If you want all the medical requirements for a first class medical, they can be found in part 67.101 of the current FAR/AIM

  3. About 36,000 ft.

(sorry I have a real problem)

(the actual answer is 163cm, about 5 ft)

  4. The only stature limitation i've seen is that you have to reach the controls.  On most planes anything over 4'6 will propably do it. I know some people carry cushions with then to put on there seats so they can see over the dash....

  5. enough to see the runway

  6. None, as long as you can manipulate all the controls and switches and can see out of the cockpit. I know a female airline pilot who is only 4'11".

  7. 2cm..hehehe

  8. 4'11
