  1. A two-year-old cannot go into the kids' camps on any of the cruises - kids have to be potty-trained, also.  You can hire a babysitter for the evenings, but otherwise, you will be entertaining your child.  Best to leave baby with grandma and grandpa and go and enjoy some "alone time".

  2. We have gone on a Disney cruise with our 3 children, ages 9, 5, and 2 and it was the best vacation ever! Yes, while it is true that 2 year olds are not eligible for the kids clubs, they have Flounder's Reef Nursery and all you need to do is reserve a spot for your little one! There is an extra charge of $6.00 per hour, but that is really a great deal and the nursery is fantastic! The room is absolutely spotless and Disney goes to great lengths to make sure all guests constantly use sanitizer for their hands and keep things clean. We have been on other cruises and we will never go back, now that we have discovered Disney cruises. The rooms are way larger than other cruise lines, and the whole atmosphere is family oriented- not like some of the other ships where the main focus is drinking and partying.

  3. Disney!

  4. I'm planning a cruise with my 3 kids, ages 8, 3 and 2.  Carnival takes them when they're two and I haven't heard anything about them being potty trained, in fact, I don't believe that is true at all.  Not many 2 year olds even ARE potty trained.

Here, I actually copied the info from the site...

    Potty-Trained

Toddlers do not have to be potty-trained in order to take part in Camp Carnival or take part of the babysitting services. Parents must provide the Youth Staff with diapers and toiletries to be used for their child. However, children over the age of 3 will not be changed by the Youth Staff. The parents will be provided with a beeper and must return when paged to sign the child out of activities and change them. The child may then return to activities.

    Swimming Pools

Children in diapers, swimming diapers or those who are not toilet trained are not permitted to use the pools due to United States Public Health Regulations.

I've researched this a lot and Carnival actually takes great pains to ensure that their kid staff is highly trained and squeaky clean.  They do all sorts of background checks on them and require that they have early childhood degrees or tons of experience.  I listed my source for the info. I listed, I actually have a ton more, Melanie has been great.  Enjoy your cruise!  We're going to Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica.  There is an amazing all inclusive resort in Jamaica that is super kids friendly, check this out... http://www.sunsetbeachresort.com/

also... as far as beaches go... try and find an all inclusive resort with a day pass if you want to do the beach.  they'll have fresh water showers and pools, include food and drinks and sometimes have child care available, too. (Though most start at 3 or 4).  I just want to take my kids to a clean beach!

    Have fun!

  5. If you are looking for s selfless cruise, just worrying about the 2 year-old having fun, then Disney is the way to go. They do have infant care for a small price.

If you want to save some money, Carnival is #2. However, the 2 year-old cannot participate in their daycare- They must be toilet trained.

So, if you and your 2-year-old want to have a great time, you should wait until he/she is about 4 or 5.
