  1. High Road... i.e. Kilburn High Road, Marlyebone High Road etc

  2. High Street (correct answer therefore 10 points as the others got it wrong)

  3. there's a High Street or High Road in just about every town or city in the UK ... sometimes they get differentiated by the place name, e.g. Wood Green High Road, Marylebone High Street

the second I think would be Station Road ... nearly every town with a railway station will have one ... and you'll find the name in many towns which used to have a railway station but where the station has been closed down and removed, sometimes many years ago

then there's Church Road or Church Street (Old Church Lane) and variations on that, and on a presbyterian theme there's Chapel Streets as well (I've yet to see a Synagogue Road or a Mosque Road though)

yes there's lots of roads named after the town they lead to or from, e.g. London Road, Old Kent Road, etc but they tend to be a bit more local

another common one is trees, Oak, Ash, etc

  4. High Street

  5. C. High Street - final answer

High Street is the UK equivalent of Main Street in the US

  6. High Street I would think almost every town and city in the UK has a "High Street"  - usually the street where all the main shopping is.
