  1. The most disgraceful moment in cricket is none other than match-fixing.We lost Hansie Cronje and Bob Woolmer in it and many cricket careers have come to abrupt end.

BCCI's threatening to ICC regarding harbhajan singh and Trevor Chapell under-arm bowling are also some disgraceful moments.

  3. Bob Woolmer being KILLED!!

Yeah i said it!! Bob Woolmer was murdered and it is all a huge cover-up!!! Isnt it a bit ironic how Woolmer was found dead 1 day after Pakistan went out of the World Cup!!

I honestly believe Woolmer was murdered!! It all seems a bit farfetched to me!!

  4. The underarm bowling incident of 1981.An infamous incident in a game of cricket involving an underarm delivery occurred on February 1, 1981, when Australia was playing New Zealand in a One Day International, the third of five matches in the final of the Benson & Hedges World Series Cup at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Australia had won the first two matches of the series and needed to win the match to win the series. The batsman at the non-striker's end, Bruce Edgar, was on 102 not out at the time and his innings has been called "the most overlooked century of all time." The match had earlier controversy: in the Australian innings, Martin Snedden took a spectacular low outfield catch off the batting of Greg Chappell when he was on 52. It was disallowed by the umpires, although TV replays clearly showed it was a clean catch. Some commentators believed Chappell should have taken Snedden's word that the catch was good. Chappell went on to score 90, before he was caught by Bruce Edgar in similar fashion. This time...

  5. I agree with KooKee, Bob Woolmer's death & the cover-up that followed it, beats every little irritating thing that's ever happened in cricket. It goes to show just how fanatical some of the teams & fans are about winning, & the total disgrace they consider losing a game or series to be.

  6. The underarm bolwing incident of 1981, where Australian captain Greg Chapell instructed his own brother Trevor Chapell to bowl the last delivery underarm, in order to prevent Brian McKechnie, the New Zealand batsman on strike, to hit a six off the last ball of the innings and win the match.

Though it the Aussies managed to win the match, the act was widely criticised in the cricket world, and even the Australian prime minister has to accept that the act wasn't within the spirit of the game. Even Richie Benaud as the commentator labelled the act as "disgraceful", stating that it was one of the worst things that he had ever witnessed on the field.

As a consequence of such a disgraceful act, the ICC banned the underarm delivery, from the limited over cricket, maintaining that it violates the spirit of the game. So, according to me, perhaps no other incident in cricket is as disgraceful as this underarm bowling by Trevor Chapell.

  7. Loosing any match from the point of victory

  8. Racism.

  9. when afridi try to obstruct the pitch from his shoes...

  10. Match-fixing. Everything else mentioned on here is either gamesmanship, or silly incidents blown out of proportion.

There is no excuse for fixing the result of games.

Anyone caught doing this should be banned for life.
