  1. The civic is more reliable than the other two on your list. I've worked on many cars and the simple fact is that honda, toyota, nissan always look and run great no matter how many miles. I own two honda accords for ten years and havent done anything to them except change the oil.

  2. Consumer Reports magazine, in the 2008 annual Auto issue, reports on reliablity of 36 car brands. Honda is rated tops at #1, Pontiac is 5th from the bottom, and Chevrolet is 7th from the bottom.

In general, Asian brands are higher in reliability than American and European brands. Of the top 10 brands, only one is European (Porsche at #9), and only one is American (Buick at #10).

  3. Well I can tell you that EVERY car is potentially a P.O.S. it ONLY depends on how well the car is taken care of.

But out of the list you gave I would choose any Honda because you can drive them into the ground.

However I would prefer a VW because those cars are MADE to be bullet proof.

  4. The most reliable choice you have there is the Honda. It will go for hundreds of thousands of miles. I like the coupes better cuz I think they are more stylish. Also the honda gets unbelievable gas mileage. Over 30mpg. I do not care much for the Grand Am, but I like the looks of a z24. Just remember that the z24 is still a Cavalier which probably wont be as reliable as the honda.
