  1. bacteria

  2. Just a guess, but I'd guess either termites (which I think is right) or ants.

The previous answers listed bacteria, but bacteria aren't animals in Linnaean classification.

  3. Bacteria etc. are organisms so are excluded. I thought myself that Krill would be the most abundant species, then I happened upon this website http://a2mediagroup.com/?c=168&a=21831 it says in the second paragraph  "They have recently returned from a five thousand mile journey around the Antarctic Ocean to investigate krill - the most abundant species of animal on the planet" and here is a quote from further down the same page "Antarctic krill are the most abundant species of animal on the planet and have a greater biomass than any other animal species". Wikipedia says "In the Southern Ocean, one species, the Antarctic Krill, Euphausia superba, makes up an estimated biomass of over 500 million tons, roughly twice that of humans". There are of course many species of Krill but this particular one seems to be the most abundant animal found anywhere on planet earth.

  4. may be insects which are visible and bacteria microscopic animals.

  5. What you call the most common animal depends on how you define 'animal.'

If an animal is anything not vegetable or mineral, then the most abundant

animals are the bacteria.  Pound for pound and by sheer numbers, there are

more bacteria than any other living thing on the Earth.
