  2. Carrots are known for having high concentrations of some pigments called ¨carotenoids¨, wich give the orange colour to the vegetable. A famous carotenoid ofund in carrots is Vitamin A, very important for retin function(that is why is called retinoid).

  5. Well, carrots are rich in a form of Vitamin A called beta carotene.

    But I imagine abundance in terms of volume I believe cellulose (and other chemicals going under dietary fiber) are more so. Secondly, sugars and starches since it is a root.

    PS: I was thinking in terms of macromolecules. But, water makes sense too. Since its integral to the majority of lifeforms' existence and of very high concentration.
