  1. Having tried the following: alcohol, cocaine, methadone, heroin, crack, pot, acid, extacsy, valium, oxycotin, and several others, I can speak with some fair amount of experiance.

The hands down winner is: nicotine.

I've ceased all drug use for the past 3 years...after 20 years of partying, I no longer drink or do drugs.  However, I've tried to quit smoking on numerous occasion with no success.

  2. endorphines from ya brain. dopemine

  3. I don't know if it passes as a drug, but I MUST have two or three bacon sandwiches every day.  They are the most addictive thing I can think of... I'll have one now................... with English mustard

  4. Substance   Withdrawal  / Reinforcement  / Tolerance

    Nicotine               3           /             4            /          2

    Heroin                  2            /            2           /           1

    Cocaine               4           /             1            /          4

    Alcohol                 1           /              3             /        3

    Caffeine               5             /            6              /       5

    Marijuana             6           /              5            /         6

so looking at this i would say nicotine and heroin

  5. probably heroin

    or meth

  6. Oxygen.

About three minutes without it and you're a goner!

  7. lol i agree oxygen

  8. Nicotine

  9. If we go by the percentage of users who become addicted, then nicotine takes first place easily.  Heroin is solidly second, with cocaine and alcohol also high on the list.

It's worth noting that this study only considered oral forms of amphetamines.  Had they included other forms, methamphetamine may have placed higher than it did.  But it would not have supplanted nicotine.

  10. Depends on the time frame.

In my experience coke/heroin addicts get the highest quickest - with more chance of death by say 40.

Alcholics and nicotine addicts tend to rival each other - to ages 65-70 or beyond.

Prescription drugs such as prozac can have calamitous effects at a much earlier age - all such foreign substances affect different

    people in different ways.

As a serious alcoholic I would echo earlier answerers - and comment I find it much more diffcult to get off nicotine than drink.

  11. i am going with cigarettes also,and i like bruce j,s answer,that says it all.peAce.

  12. I would agree that cigarettes are, but I think a very close second would be crystal meth.  I read that it's ten times harder to quit than cocaine.  Also that you can be addicted after doing it only once!

  13. Nicotine. Really.

  14. I know Ativan (Lorazepam) is highly addictive, and incredibly hard to come off..

  15. Caffeine.  It is a stimulant.  It is used in coffee, tea, soda pops and energy drinks.  Considering the fact that over 90% of the worlds population drinks at least one of the above beverages at least once a day, this would make it the most addictive drug.

  16. Your mum

    Probably tobacco or glue

  17. s*x with me.
