As far as corporate scams , or other unfortunate things happening in offices, agencies, or basically anywhere there is a scam that has happened to you which was very $$$ ?

Any stories? Here's one.

Like this example: You get a traffic ticket but for whatever reason, you never get the ticket in the mail, so you never realize you needed to post bail. The ticket then is subject to a fine due to no appearance in court, so instead of being $300, it is now $600. Now, all of this is happening without the unsuspecting person's knowledge. So they still do not know they have a ticket, so now, the fine is about $1,000 with late fees, etc...the only way they know this is that they finally got a notice from collections after the collections agency actually sent out a notice.

Of course people all have the responsibility to never get tickets but this is just an example.

  1. Ever since I was a small farm child, the doctors tricked my naive parents into putting me on meds for depression and it got worse over the years as psychosis and schizophrenia.  After many hospitalizations and the such, it was decided that I never needed the meds to begin with and that's what was causing it.  My parents paid $100/hr to the shrink who retired without notice and  move across the country and the other one I had went to prison on the same charges from someone else - medicine they didn't need.  I am fine now, no meds.  I got put in the hospital one time with no insurance and from that ONE visit, I had to pay $5,000.  After many attemps to get the state to pay, I ended up footing it on a credit card that I still pay and that was like 10 years ago.

  2. Getting paid to fill out surveys online. The only way you get paid is if you buy something and it usually ends up being the first of many purchases. Then if you stop they bug you forever with emails. Also, "processing rebates online" is unbelievably frustrating. They charge you to sign up and you basically have to sell something by creating links where YOU offer a rebate if the person buys through you. Then the company will pay you, and from that YOU pay the buyer the "rebate" (or you can decide not to, if you don't mind ripping someone off). I found a much better program where you don't have to sell anything or pay anybody. You should check it out: http://www.24hourwebcash.com/allan6424. It's a real opportunity and the staff at this company supports you unbelievably. I get calls from THEM asking if there's any info they can send me to help me or any questions I have. It's legitimate work but you're working with REAL companies (like eBay and Amazon.com and others), and they are the ones who pay you. I've tried several different "opportunities" and none come even close to this as far as legitimately making money doing easy consistent ONLINE work (and they really really train you if you don't already know how to do it) and getting paid by REAL companies.
