  1. The most beautiful vase I own is a piece of Navajo Pottery. Its a traditional Navajo wedding vase, unglazed, with some crushed turquoise and some crushed red ocher thrown into the clay in a strata formation. It stands about 10 inches high.

It's a real treasure for me. I watched the potter make it, and asked that he leave it unglazed. I've carried everywhere I've lived for over 25 years now. It even beats out the lovely cut glass vase I got from my grandmother, which belonged to her grandmother who brought it from France with her.

  2. I have a Royal Doulton, Minton Studio vase that I purchased not so long ago, it cost a lot (at least by my standards), just under £700., however, it is a truly beautiful piece, it stands 38cm tall and is hand gilded in gold, with acid etched patterns and a stiking pure white interior.

It is very similar to the one in this image, except mine has a little acid etched design around the top and bottom.

They seem to have gone up!!

I am not a collector of vases, as people don't give me flowers, but this is perfect on its own.

  3. Many years ago, while in Japan, I acquired a Fukugawa Vase in blue and orange with gold trim. It's not the most expensive one I have, but in my opinion the nicest.
