Depends on who you are talking to.  My brother would say charities that improved living conditions in 3rd world countries...I wouldn't disagree, but I work with children suffering from cancer and a multitude of other illnesses/accidents, so I would say they have causes that need to be attended to.

Above and beyond what is 'charitable' and what is not, work for a cause that you believe strongly in.  You'll get the most of it, and they'll get the most out of you.  Win/win scenario.

the most charitable cause to work fro is to work for the special children and people...i would advice you to visit a NGO which takes care of such people, atleast once...sitting in the comfort of our cozy rooms,we cant even imagine how difficult it is to accept for some1 that he has disabilities of certain kind which cant be treated or they dont have money to get them treated..instead of simply having sympathy for them and thanking God that we are in good shape doesnt works....God will be happy if we will do good for those people because WE have everything and they have been deprived of it.....
