Do they usually put you under general anesthesia? Can you request to just be locally numbed?

  1. I had all 4 extracted at once, using only local anesthesia. This can be combined with nitrous oxide to help lessen your anxiety. I think that being put completely under is really unnecessary unless you're completely terrified.

  2. i am not sure but when i had mine done they gave me 2 valumes and a antibiotic. they told me to take one the day of the surgery before i came in and one after along with the antibiotic all i know was i was out of it when i got there all i remember is going in them saying were ready and wakeing up with a sowlen jaw and still felling good as h**l as far as localy numbed yes you can but i suggest being knock completly out
