  1. The Theory of Evolution which states that human beings evolved from apes. I believe that this theory isn't true because of the "missing link." If the missing link really existed, where is it? Until now, anthropologists have not gathered enough evidence to support this theory.

  2. Intelligent Design (creationism) and Evolution. I believe in God and I also believe in evolution. This is the opposite for most people, it's one or the other.

  3. God :)

    In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

    1 God creates heaven and earth;

    3 the light;

    6 the firmament;

    9 separates the dry land;

    14 forms the sun, moon, and stars;

    20 fishes and fowls;

    24 cattle, wild beasts, and creeping things;

    26 creates man in his own image, blesses him;

    29 grants the fruits of the earth for food.

    beginning. Pr 8:22-24 16:4 Mr 13:19 Joh 1:1-3 Heb 1:10 1Jo 1:1

  4. that we are aliens that arrived from outer space

  5. Some alien visiting our planet millions of years ago took a dump in a pond full of goop. We are the end result.

  6. There is only one answer man is designed and created by God.This is logical.Everybody and everything in this universe has a systematic intelligent rational function and origin.The origin of this systematic universe and beings canot come into being by chance but by an intelligent Being.And that Being is called God.There was no body without a father.All systematic product has been produced by a producer.No body came into being by chance but by somebody.Simple logic ,look around,you can see the works of super intelligent Being through the actions.Action follows being.If a bullet is shot.There should be someone built one gun and someone pulled the trigger!!!??.God created the earth and nature where humans can come into existence according to his plan.eg:Just like a production plant of GMC or Ford who designed a system that produces a cars.Intelligent design is the answer.

  7. It depends on where you look for controversy, and what creation stories you use.

    Evolution, for example, carries no significant controversy in the scientific world (there are disagreements on the specifics, as with anything in science, but the theory is accepted by nearly all scientists in the relevant fields).

    It's in the political and social realm that evolution is controversial, since it doesn't match up with the literal interpretation of Genesis that some (certainly not all) Christian sects embrace.

    If you widen the scope of creation stories, more controversy would undoubtedly ensue.  There are people up in arms that evolution (science) is taught in science class over their specific religious dogma.  If Biblical Creationism were taught alongside Hindu, Norse, and Native American creation stories (with the same weight as Biblical Creation), you can bet there would be a strong public reaction.

  8. Just about every theory about our origin is controversial.  The extent of the controversy depends upon who you ask :)

    Richard Dawkins wouldn't think evolution was controversial, yet Pat Robertson probably thinks it's outrageous.

  9. The God theory.

  10. Well there is actually only one factual scientific theory on how humans came to be as they are today.  There is no controversy among scientist and among most people.  For real controversy to exist you would need contrary theories.  Well there are not any.  Only one theory exist.  People were not created, they evolved, just like all the life forms on Earth.  There is absolutely NO proof of any other mechanism.

  11. the primordial fluid is probably the one people hate the most; it is alluded to in greek mythology with neptune's p***s being thrown into the ocean

  12. A theory must be supported by evidence, otherwise it's not a theory, it's a hypothesis.  And there is only one real theory, that humans evolved from earlier apes.

    "I believe that this theory isn't true because of the "missing link.""

    It's not about what you believe or not.  It's true, and supported by tons of data.  There is no belief required.

    "If the missing link really existed, where is it?"

    "Until now, anthropologists have not gathered enough evidence to support this theory."

    No, evolution is the most well supported theory in all of science, and human evolution is one of the most well evidenced lineages.
