Question:

What is the most cost- efficient amplifier for a set of 4 JBL JRX125 speakers?

I don't know anything about wattage and ohms. I've got plenty of explanations that didn't make sense to me though.

  1. Static - JBL recommends an amp that puts out at least 500 watts per channel into 4 ohms.

    Remember that it is more dangerous to underpower your speakers than overpower them.  An underpowered amp will distort sooner for a given volume level and distortion is what damages speakers.  Always keep an eye on the amp "clip" lights.  They should never be lit continuously, only occasionally on peaks.


  2. Im just curious as to why someone with no knowledge of amps ect ect is choosing PA speakers?

    Are you going to be doing live gigs or DJing?
