  1. The rule has been changed for some 19 financial stocks. Other than those the rules are the same.

    For instance:

    There is no uptick rule anymore.

    But regulatority authorities are contemplating more rules, such as requiring that a dealer must actually have shares to be shorted in his possession before allowing a client to short them.

    Stay tuned.

    Someone must be blamed for the probs in the financial industry--why not blame the short sellers?
