  1. I would have to say that they are all extremely catastrophic, there is not one that could cause less damage than another .

In every earthquake, tornado, hurricane, volcanic erruption, or tsunami there has been deaths and injuries as well as mass amounts of damage . Earthquakes literally rip the earth from underneath us apart , while a tornado whips through a town and takes with it people and homes. A Hurricane ruins homes bldgs and kills people as well , volcanic erruptions literally melt the earth from underneath us as well as the humans who dont evacuate . and Tsunamis are no better that creates an ocean on land drowning people and also ruining their homes and bldgs. So there is no way I can compare which catastrophy would do the most damage, but if I had to choose one I suppose id go with the Earthquake. That catastrophy, may cause the worst type of damage to a city, and has potential to cause more deaths . hurricanes and tsunamis are made of water and water dries eventually some things may be able to be saved . also some people can hold their breath while under water but in an earthquake, all u have to do is be in the wrong place at the wrong time and its over for u . Volcanic erruptions wont affect as many people and happen far less frequently. tornados come and go quickly you just have to be able to survive it u have a 50/50 chance of making it through it . But like I said before they are all horrible .

  2. It depends where it hits but i guess an earthquake can make the most damage. It can collapse entire cities, killing hundreds of thousands. Tsunamis can be more destructive, but it has to hit a densely populated shoreline to do a lot of damage. Tornadoes destroy only a narrow path, while hurricanes can do a lot of damage, but i guess less than an earthquake. Weird question :)

  3. I believe the most catastrophic event could be either the eruption of Krakatoa or the earthquake of Xian in the 1500s. That killed a recorded 880000 people.

  4. I'd have to say earthquakes because they do not only destroy building and but cause landslides, change the coarse of rivers, and cause sand geysers, and an earthquake can also cause volcano's to erupt so in the long run earthquakes do a lot more damage then others catastrophic
