What is the most economical and reasonable accommodaation in Ho Chi Minh City?

It's for an English speaking traveller going there in Early January 2006. I would like the accommodation to be clean, but not necessarily luxurious.

I once stayed at the NGA QUAN mini hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. The room took up  one floor of a four story building and was excellent value with a great location. One block to the river and bus stop plus easy walking distance to the main city area. Breakfast can be had just out the front on the street where a lady will cook you and egg.With a baguette and a cuppa it will cost about 50 cents.
