What is the most effective massage technique?

I have been having Chinese Accupressure Massages and they just aren't doing it for me lately. Is there a better type? (I have muscular knots in my back - that are presently killing me)

deep tissue massage like the ones who massage the football guys before they play there the best, ask a club if you can borrow there trainer i did they work wonders.
