  1. For any child......

    Consistency and a good schedule.

  2. When I was training my son, I just put him in underwear and constantly asked him if he had to go.  You have to be consistent.  It worked great for me.

  3. trying to make my girl go every hour and getting a schedule down and just being consitent... also i rewarded her whenever she either peed or pooped in the potty with a sticker, coloring book, cookie.. anything

  4. Boy or girl, the best way is to let them decide when they want to potty train. No amount of force is going to help.

  5. Just stop using diapers.  After a couple days of having wet pants (change them when they get wet and explain that if they go potty on the toilet that they won't get wet) they'll want to use the toilet.  Took me about a week with my 2 year old, and about a week with my disabled and delayed 4 year old.  I used diapers in bed until daytimes were dry.

  6. In potty training my son ( appx age 2 1/2) I took him to the bathroom every 45 minutes or so to go, he would hang out on the potty seat and do his business if need be. He quickly learned to p**p in the potty but would often pee in his pull up I think as a matter of convenience and not liking the feeling of poo. It took more than a month before he was completely potty trained. My daughter who I am currently potty training wears underwear or goes bare around the house and seems to have a good grasp of the sensation to go (age 22 months). I think the success of a particular training method is largely due to the child and the delivery method. Forcing them never works though. Best of luck to you.
