Question:

What is the most effective way to build a barrier between my dog and wall shared by my neighbors and me?

We have a brick wall separating our back yard from our 2 neighbors. My Pitt Bull can nearly jump the 6 foot brick wall and and attempts to do so when our neighbor's dog is in their backyard. Both dogs get too close to each other when they hop up to check out what's going on on each side. I need to prevent my dog from actually crossing over. All help will be appreciated.

  1. If there is room enough on the property, buy a chain link dog kennel big enough for your pit bull.  It is well worth the investment because it doesn't sound like a safe situation.  Another idea is having an invisible fence system placed away from the brick wall.  This system also includes a collar for your dog that works with the wireless fence.  You probably don't own the property so this is about the only two solutions out there other than constant supervision with your dog and lots of training. If you do own the property, you could add on to your brick wall or install a 10 foot fence next to wall  or  plant arborvates next to the brick wall.

  2. Your dog is to big for neighboors an loud, as is theirs. everyone get new dogs and start over.  why city people have to have big dogs is beyond me.  You have big dog u have gun too.  little dog makes noise an you  have gun what do ya need?
