I don't want to spend much money, it's an old storage building.. I just want it to keep a few things a bit dry and out of the weather. The building will most likely be torn down in two years. The roof isn't bad now, just a few nail holes and minor leaks.

  1. A tube of silicon will seal these small holes if looks do not matter.

  2. Well if aesthetics aren't a major issue, I'd probably just use a shingle caulk in a gun. It looks like tar. Check labels for properties, and a time frame.

    Just my two "sense"

  3. If there is a large area to repair, home repair stores sell roof patch in 1 and 5 gallon cans.  Buy a brush and handle and put it on like thick paint.

  4. I think I would just buy a tube of gutter caulk and hit the nail holes. Gutter caulk will adhere to the tin better than any other because it is formulated to stick to metal. You can find it in the caulk section it will say gutter caulk on the tube. You can do a lot of nail holes for under $5. Just be sure there isn't a lot of dirt or green stuff growing so it will stick. I used some on my barn and did it from the under side. I had little white worms on the top when I was finished but it worked.

  5. Go to hardware and ask for (BULL) they will know what you mean. Put it on and its done.
