  1. The best chemical stripper that I know of is the brand Marine stripper. You can buy it at any store that specializes in fine paints. It is very powerful so be sure to tape off everything and wear gloves. Use a brush when you apply. You can also use a heat gun to remove paint. Its especially helpful when your dealing with multiple layers of old paint.

  2. Are you removing the trim and stripping or are you stripping in place? If you plan to strip in place then any citrus based stripper will work, also 5f5 or Dads is the fastest, but 5f5 will not touch lead based if its present! Dads is a furniture stripper and it works really well! I have a mixture that will make 20 gallons for about 20 bucks but its for use outdoors! And you build a troff mix 4 cans of liquid drano and some cornstarch and some water till you have a creamy slurry and put your wood into that, really all you need is the lye, but its such a hard chemical to obtain now do to its uses in illegal ways! But if you plan on staining the wood after you strip it then don't go with the drano mix because it stains the wood!Really I need more info on what your plan is because some chemicals you don't want to use inside! Peel Away is great too. Its a paste and you put it on and then cover it with a paper ,sort of wax paper ,and go back in a little while and peel the paper off and all the paint comes with it! I did a whole house with this and it was really good! For inside ,in place I would go with Dads!Or any citrus based stripper!
