I went to a college that was so small, that everybody knew your business. It was like living in a fishbowl.

I had a job that involved me making announcements that the student union building was about to close. One night, I didn't realize that the microphone was still on, and I broadcast a conversation with my friend about whom we lusted after, and whom the people we lusted after lusted after, to the pub, the student newspaper office, and some other places.

That's been my most embarrassing moment for twenty years. It's been hard to top that one.
