I have already heard that the opening ceremonies tend to be the most expensive, but I was wondering which of the athletic events was the most expensive. Thanks!

  1. Usually, the events such as basketball are the most expensive (because it is indoor and there's no chance of rain)

For the summer olympics 2008, I'm unsure, but I'm pretty sure that basketball is still the most expensive.

For the winter olympics in Vancouver, most of the outdoor olympic events (snowboarding, skiing and such) they run for $50-$160

The indoor events (ice skating, hockey) are more expensive, they run for $95-$420

For the summer olympics in London, they have announced that more than half of the tickets will be about 20 pounds, or about $40.

Usually, the second most expensive event is the closing ceremony, the one in beijing goes for $750 for nice seats right now

  2. not sure ,but the drug testing would have not been cheap.
