Me and my friends love shopping, and yes we all live in SA.

But being on a low budget we really wanna try to avoid hitting up the most expensive malls if possible.

If u have an answer PLEASE don't hesitate.

Much love

  1. la cantera has all the designer stores

you should go to north star

  2. I used to live in SA most of my life, but i dont recoment the malls in the west side, i believe that you can have a variety of clothing and you can stretch that wallet its in Ingram mall or Northstar mall; I believe that Rivercenter can be a bit pricey and Shops at Sonterra as well because of their location. I have two younger siblings and i know that i would go there with them to give them stuff for back to school.

they would be happy and our budget would not break.

    have fun!

  3. Malls in themselves are not expensive, but the individual stores in each mall may have higher prices.  In general the Shops at La Cantera and North Star Mall have more of the upscale, higher priced stores, while Ingram Park and Rolling Oaks would fall in the mid range, and McCreless and Westlakes would be examples of malls with lower priced stores.  You might also consider just shopping in one of the many life centers in the city, such as The Rim, the Quarry Market or the Forum.  Of course there is always the consideration of a trip to the outlet malls in San Marcos.

When you are trying to decide on a mall, based on cost of the stores, look at the area of town.  Stores tend to market to the economy of the area they are in, so the Quarry Market caters to Alamo Heights and Olmos Park; La Cantera caters to the northwest corridor, etc.

Please note:  I did not include Rivercenter, as I don't think of it as much as a place to shop as it is a place to hang out, and for tourist to pick up San Antonio trinkets.  Most locals do not go to Rivercernter to shop at the major stores, which is why Dillards is closing the store in Rivercenter.

  4. the most expensive  mall right now would be LaCantera.

There is Nordstorm, Niemen Marcus, Dillards, Macy's are the anchor stores.  We have Tiffany's and Coach, Burberry Lilly Pulitzer Puma

    and lots of others.

North Star is nice too.  As some higher end stores like Talbots, Betsey Johnson, Saks and a few others.

Also LaCantera is an outside mall meaning it's not enclosed.  It's really nice and beautiful during the winter.  They have lots of places to just it and watch people.

  5. i love lacantera:)

they have all the best designer stores:)

but, if your on a budget, poor thing...

    i guess there's northstar.

(they have some good stores like saks and betsey johnson)

but i personally thinks its dirty
