  1. Celebs go there all the time

    $100 entree

    California - Oakhurst:

    Chateau du Sureau

  2. i think its The French Laundry

  3. Matsuhisa

  4. theres this awsome sushi join in san fran easily over 300 per person a meal, thats a light dinner. i forget the meal, but robin williams goes there a lot.

  5. Remind me not to ask you out.....

  6. (1) I think you could easily spend $500 for two at the French Laundry before you order the wine. With wine, well the sky is probably the limit. French Laundry is in Yountville.

    (2) I put a website for a good sushi place in Sausalito in the sources.

These six are probably the most expensive in  San Francisco.

Aqua Financial Dist / Embarc Seafood

Chez TJ Mountain View Contemporary French

    Cyrus Healdsburg Contemporary French

Manresa - Los Gatos Contemporary American

Meadowood, The Restaurant St. Helena Californian

MICHAEL MINA Downtown / Union Sq American

  7. I've located a nice list of restaurants that might help. You can drill down the California results by cities nearby to you. If you call several of the restaurants you can narrow down wich one would work best for you. http://www.restaurantreviewsratings.com/...

  8. Bastide is the most expensive restaurant in Los Angeles, known for its haute French cuisine. Joe Pytka, the owner, became notorious when he spent $35,000 for a one-kilogram white truffle. It is primarily known for its Provencal-inspired cuisine, and with its location in West Hollywood, you can expect a celebrity sighting. Its new a la carte menu will keep the food community pleased, since the restrictive twice-nightly seating times will no longer be enforced. Dinners here cost around $101 per person.

Urasawa offers one of the most unique, and exclusive, Japanese dining experiences in California. The tiny establishment, which usually seats about 10 people at a time, has no menu; rather diners are treated to 29 courses of owner and Chef Hiroyuki Urasawa's triumphant Kaizeki preparations.Diners at Urasawa will ensure that after a four-hour dinner at Urasawa, no meal will ever seem the same.
