What is the most expensive rx drug that you've heard of?

I am on a drug that I (thank god) qualify for glaxosmithklein to pay for that's saving me over $500 a month.

I am sure that there are cancer tx, etc, that can cost thousnads, but day to day long term Rx,

what is the most expensive you've heard of, and what is it?

  3. Yes I guess a lot of the anticancer drugs would be expensive per vial.The new monoclonal fully human antibody drugs would be expensive to manufacture. Gold, Sodium Aurothiomaleate injections were always expensive in arthritis treatment. Some of the HIV cocktails would be expensive over the lifetime of the patient.

    I have a friend I met on the internet from the philippines and she is essentially dying of asthma ( can't move about a lot anymore) at 25 years of age because all she can afford is a ventolin inhaler and she really needs glaxo's Seretide inhaler and things like Singulair and geed antibiotics...all of which are too expensive for most philippinos as Glaxo needs to keep the price in the region suitable for the Japanese market ( i.e. high priced) in order to prevent the japanese parallel importing from the philippines. So, 78 euros worth of life saving seretide 500 discus is essentially priceless from her perspective. Its allmarketingg really
