What is the most fatening yet nutrious commercial mix feed for a hard working performance horse?

I have an 7 yr old performance horse that i would like a little chunkier. she was eating a senior feed so that she'd gain weight and she did but she still doesn't look as fat as i'd like her. she now is on Safe-Choice by Nutrena.

Try adding canola oil to her grain.  I forget the dosage, but it's wait I used to keep weight on my draft horse without pouring the grain to him.

I'm sure you have already done this, but have her teeth checked and deworm her.

I really like the Tripple Crown feeds as they are geared for performance horses and they do not need to eat as much to get the benefits of the feeds.

They also have a new one just out on the market called

Vitality Ultra it is made by the Nutrena Company. They have some coupons out ofr it now. You may want to check it out.

Or try adding some stabalized rice bran to the food. It is a powder that you top dress over the feed and will add calories with out making the horse hot and it is fat so it is very safe and will not cause problems for the horse.
