I have a 1999.5 (year) Nissan Pathfinder SE with only 25,000 miles. It is loaded with ac, cd player, power windows/mirrors/locks, cruise control, power sunroof..etc

Would it be better to give it to the dealer if I'm trading it in for another used car or would it be better if i sold it privately.

  1. If you trade your car into the dealer they will never give you what your car is worth or what you want for it. So try to sell it yourself...

    Good Condition: 5410.00

    Fair Condition: 4655.00

So a fair price for you is between these two numbers.

  2. Look it up on Kelly Blue book for the value of your car.  See if the dealer offers close to the value in the book.  If not, try selling it yourself, but that is such a HUGE headache dealing with strangers and advertising and all the other stuff that goes with selling it privately.

  3. it has great low miles on it and i would assume its in great condtion, id say a dealer will call it anywhere from 4000 to 5500. you could maybe do better at selling it on your own, but it can be a nuisance doing all the work yourself. take it to a dealer or two and get an idea of what they will allow you on trade. id love to have you nissan at my dealership.
