currently, economically, technologically, China.

Imagine if China stopped all trade... where would the Americans get their TV sets from????? or virtually any other form of technology, as China manufactures the bulk of the worlds plastics, computer chips, and components made in China are found in almost every household or commercial product.

Without trade from China, many of the worlds agricultural economies would collapse... many economies including the USA rely on China's demand for grain, dairy products, fuel, and other natural resources.

Most important country imply there are less important countries? What does that mean? I don't really get it.

I believe no country can be more important than the other.

If we compare the whole space we're sharing commonly referred to as  planet EARTH to one's own body, would it be appropriate to say my arm is more important than my leg or my brain is more important than my heart?

I don't think so.

I strongly believe that every piece of land on this wonderful planet is important and should be considered equally with the same consideration, respect and VENERATION for what negatively or positively affect you in your part of the world would directly or indirectly affect me where I am and vice versa.

At present it is the United States.  The United States is still the primary and most efficient example of:

- Democratic forms of government (remember many other "democratic" nations are still technically monarchies).

- Capitalism. (Largest country in terms of GDP)

- Governance and regulation

- Personal Freedom.

- Higher Education

- Creative outlets

- Openness (We have race problems, yes.  Some other countries do not even have other races.

Just ask all the Iraqi refugees where they are trying to get to.  They aren't trying to run from the US; they are trying to run to it.

Depends what you mean by "important".

Economically? If so then probably China and USA. The EU if that counts (it has easily the highest GDP);

Military power? USA, Russa and China;

Socially and culturally? USA, China and UK;

Historically? Italy (i.e. Rome), Greece, China, Britain, Germany.

In Truth, how can one be more important than another? One may be more powerful in this world, another more humane, & yet another in the lime-light. But none matters more than another.
