Since this century is only 8.5 years old I would have to say that the most important story so far is that the USA (the greatest country on Earth) has taken the war on terrorism to the countries where they are spawned. Unfortunately it took 9/11 to make that happen but this country has been under attack by terrorists since the Carter Administration. Pacifism will get you nowhere with these animals.
