There's a book out there with 50 or 100 strange things that has happened to the Cup.  A couple that I remember are it being left at a train station, dropped in a lake and one player christianed his kid in it.

The most insulting thing to ever happen to the Stanley Cup was having Anaheim players hold it in their hands. LMAO I'm joking.

I have never seen the Stanley Cup as violated as this.

Dont kow about Stanley Cup, but the Turner Cup (old IHL trophey) was once left in a bar, and by the time it was found, had been taken apart.

I heard the winning team lost it once. It was later discovered in a snowbank.

I'll have to research that more.

Depends on how you define insulting.

One time, someone had the Cup in the trunk of a car, and got a flat tire. Out came the Cup, on went the spare, and off went the driver ... leaving the Cup behind.

I believe one of the Oilers brought the Cup to a strip club the night of the championship, and it was brought on stage. Not pretty.

that was my favourite part of the read, aside from red kelly's kid doing the number one in it. i don't understand what's so popular with drowning the cup, and also i agree with all the others about e! rycrest and others being near the cup.
