  1. Ayrton Senna was known for his good rain driving.

But he once said that the first time he raced a kart in a wet track when he was a kid, he was terrible and everybody overtook him.

So from that day on, every time it rained, he would run to get his kart and practice his wet driving. His sister remembers him returning wet because of driving in the rain all day.

In the European Grand Prix 1993, on a wet track, he managed to overtake 4 cars on the first lap after a messy start, all thanks to his wet driving skills. He overtook 3 future and past world champions Schumi, Hill and Prost. Both Prost and Hill were driving better cars than his McLaren on that season.

    Practice does make the master!

EDIT: Sorry didn't read the "present".

Fernando Alonso's father at first intended his sister to drive the kart that he built for her. It wasn't until he realised that the girl didn't want to drive, unlike Fernando who was fascinated with the machine, that he decided to allow him to drive.

Rubens Barrichello is the last active driver to have raced against drivers like Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost, so he is one of a kind in that sense.

  2. DC owns a Hotel.

Mark Webber runs marathons in Australia for charity.

Kimi owns a racing team with his manager.

Flavio is 30 years older than his new wifey.

    Button owns a Volkswagen van.

    Edit:

Wurz designs and paints his own helmets. It takes him roughly four days to complete it.

  3. Lewis Hamilton has the worlds largest forehead ~ Guinness Book of Records.

  4. Hamilton was the youngest F1 driver that have published an autobiography in his rookie year without winning a WDC...

  5. Jenson Button failed his first driving test by squeezing into a gap the examiner said was too tight.

Nick Heidfeld tested a Mclaren F1 car at just 16 years of age and was Mclarens young driver of the year but years later Hakkinen wanted another driver from Finland to replace him, so Raikkonen got the nod.

  6. I read somewhere that the Michael Schumacher had drempt that he was going to win 7 world drivers championships. That is why on the top of his helmet he has 7 stars on it.

  7. Rubens is a keen karaoke singer

  8. Nelsinho Piquet has two sisters (both models, like their mother), and four brothers. He speaks Portuguese, Dutch, German, English and French and has Brazilian/Dutch dual nationality. His favourite film is "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" and his favourite food is sushi.

His eldest brother is a truck-racer in the Brazilian championship (maybe Renault should enter their truck in that competition, rather than the F1 world championship...).

Nico Rosberg was born just up the road (in Wiesbaden, as opposed to Heidelburg) from Nelsinho Piquet, and one month earlier. He has German/Finnish dual nationality, and speaks German, English, Italian and French; but very little Finnish!

    "Kimi" is short for "Kimi-Matias".

David Coulthard's sister was actually considered the more talented driver of the two when they were young.

Robert Kubica's sporting hero is Ronnie O'Sullivan (he doesn't just LOOK weird, he is weird...)

    Adrian Sutil's father is Uruguayan.

    *EDIT Someone from Uruguay...*

    Jarno Trulli owns a vineyard.

Sebastian Vettel is the youngest ever driver to be caught speeding in the pitlane.

  9. Kimi- His wife was Miss Scandinavia 2000 (hope I got the year right) and when he was younger he dyed his hair purple (I read this somewhere, I didn't make this up)

he owns a racing team together with his manager and it's called Double R Racing

Massa- He was a pizza delivery boy and once sent pizzas to Ferrari. His wife is an heiress to a fashion empire (or is it boutique?) and his surname means "time" in Malay

Malay is the national language of Malaysia FYI

Heikki- his dad is also a racer and recently his dad raced Kimi's dad. guess who won? Heikki's dad....

Hamilton- so much to choose from. Supposedly girlfriend is Nicole Scherzinger, lead singer of now 5-girl band, Pussycat Dolls

Heidfeld- he loves listening to rock music

Kubica- he went on a diet to reduce his weight to help with car balance, that's why he's doing better than Nick this year

JB- he once almost drove his car off a cliff due to some difficulty parking it

Barri- his father and grandpa are also named Rubens and he shares his birthday with his dad, May 23

DC- he owns a chain of hotels in Monaco. One of it is the Columbus I think

Webber- a cycling enthusiast who organizes the Pure Tasmania Challenge each year

Vettel- he is the quickest driver to get a speeding fine. Only 6 secs into his F1 career if I'm not wrong

Jarno- he owns a winery and his wines are doing quite well. And apparently he's buddies with Alonso

Fisi- he has a perfume and products that go together with it

    http://www.deborahgroup.com/inglese/frag...

Sutil- he is part Uruguayan (frm his dad) and his parents are professional musicians

Rosberg- this is one multilingual dude. German, ENglish, Italian, French. I think he better get Kimi and Heikki to teach him Finnish.

Alonso- his wife Raquel del Rosario is a pop group singer, El Sueno de Morfeo

Oh and he can do magic tricks as well.
