  1. Making Pies, by Patty Griffen.

I choose it because it really moved me in a way no song ever has. It's beautiful and reminded of the strength of older generations.

Oh rats, can I pick two? I just remembered that song by Fly Leaf about the girl from Columbine. It's a passionate tribute to her choice to sacrifice her life for her beliefs, and a painful reminder of what hatred like that young man had costs us in society.

  2. the person above is totally right with radiohead. their songs are packed with meaning. i'd personally go with "everything in its right place" if i was thinking in radiohead mode.

    however!

Isaac Brock of modest mouse tends to write fantastic lyrics. The song "baby blue sedan" talks about the hardships and strange aspects of being a human. Thel ine "i miss you when you're around" conveys a feeling that  very few people can accurately describe

  3. Modern Romance by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs

A song that is meaningful to me because the lyrics remind me of my boyfriend and I. For me, the song (especially in the second half) is about being with the one you love no matter what anyone says. People can look down on your relationship but it doesn't matter because you love each other.  The song is also about teaching someone that it is okay to love again if they've been treated badly in the past, and how you're the one who can show them what real love is like.

  4. A Drop in the Ocean- Ron Pope.

I chose it because when my best friend was going through a really tough time after a break up, he told me to listen to it. It made me cry, because he told me that's how he felt, it's beautiful lyrics and music. But quite sad when you think that's how some-one so close to you feels.

I suggest you listen to it.

  5. Held by Natalie Grant. The first time i listened to the lyrics i cried. It was really sad but was definitley refreshing from the usual reggae my bro has playin around the house. I deeply suggest listening to it. I will put the link below:

I know you will like the song if you are deep and know how it feels if something like this happened to you. This is even the link with the lyrics!!!

  6. Paint The Sky With Stars -Enya

    Comforting, soothing, divine song!

  7. "Creep" by Radiohead

Because it tackles the biggest question ever asked. "Why are we here?"

It perfectly captures, the feeling of alienation that a lot of people get at least once in their life, and it also captures the feeling that people get when they hate something about themselves, They want to change something that can't be changed, they want somthing they can never have.

  8. Come What may-Ewan Mc gregor and Nicole Kidman

this song shows us how we all need that sepacial someone to give a meaning to our lives and start seeing it as something full of life and beautiful, and how when you find him, no matter how hard or awful things are, the love keeps giving them the strenght to remain, and  love that person with a passion till the end of time.

    --sorry, im a romantic.
